Dejo de hablarme por que yo todavía era yo y ella se convertiría en alguien más. Ya no era más mi mejor amiga. No era incluso mi amiga. Pero yo quería serlo.

Perfect You by Elizabeth Scott
This is a teen book that have teens that actually talk like teens. Kate is likable. even though she was unnessecarily mean to Will at times, she is such a funny character. I don’t often laugh while I’m reading, but there were just so many funny quotes between Kate and Will. I wish i had guts to tell people how i feel like Kate does. Will is also a nice character. The more dramatic parts with Kate’s family were well written. A lot of people can relate to the situations in the book.

My favourite quotes from the book:
“I didn’t want it to be one good memory that led to a lot of bad ones. I wanted it to stay what it was, one amazing moment, something that was strong and sweet enough to stand on its own. Something I could remember without any pain.”
“The world will knock you down plenty. You don’t need to be doing it to yourself.”
“Just once, I wanted to lose something without the whole world watching.”
“Darling, the world doesn’t owe you anything.”
“So, you’re telling me that no matter what, you can’t be happy? Well, darling, it’s no wonder you’re miserable. It’s what you want…So then try (to be happy).”
